Audion® Laboratories Releases Podcast Station v2.0 at 2006 Podcast and Portable Media Expo

New Features Include Skype Recording and Expandable Interface

ONTARIO, CA Sep 29, 2006 -- Audion Laboratories, Inc., a leading provider of digital audio recording and editing solutions, today announced it will be demonstrating its latest software release Podcast Station version 2.0 (v2.0), highlighting the ability to record, edit, mix and publish podcasts and audio to the web, during this week's Podcast Portable Media Expo 2006 (PPME) September 29 - 30, 2006 at the Ontario Convention Center, Ontario CA.

The Podcast Station demonstration, in Booth # 318, will offer PPME attendees the opportunity to see first hand why Podcast Station software offers customers the most easy, secure, and cost-effective software solution for creating podcast and audio files to publish to the web.

Podcast Station is based on Audion Lab's award winning VoxPro recording and editing software, known internationally for its ease of use and reliability in professional broadcast studios. Podcast Station's single interface allows recording, mixing, editing and publishing audio to the web with robust RSS, ID3 and iTunes support.

Version 2.0 features include:
  • The ability to record Skype calls on the KishKish.com Skype Answering Machine, (SAM), and with a right click export the file directly into Podcast Station for playback, editing and mixing into podcasts. (SAM Gold or Platinum version only)
  • Resizable window that increases the number of decks and cart buttons to a maximum of 30 decks and 70 carts.
  • A "Pro" interface that adds an auto crossfade feature between decks. Audio on any two side-by-side decks can be programmed to automatically cross fade one to the other from 1 to 8 seconds.
  • Dictation style transcription making it possible to start, pause and rewind an audio file to facilitate transcribing content to word files.
  • Loop mode allows any deck or cart to be looped indefinitely.
Podcast Station was originally released in March of 2006 and designed for the emerging online podcast market. Podcast Station allows users to assign any audio be it commentary, music, sound effects or interviews from virtually any kind of audio format (MP3, WAV, WMA and AIFF) to decks or buttons to later be used in producing a professional sounding podcast.
